CYCLE OF SEMINARS CLIMATE MIGRATION IN A GENDER PERSPECTIVE

Within the framework of the Horizon 2020 project "Climove - Gender CLImate Migration: EU inOvatiOn Socio-Legal Avenues" (no. 101031252) of the University of Macerata, the seminar cycle "Climate migration from a gender perspective" will be held, also open to the public upon reservation.
The effects of the climate emergency have, in fact, a differentiated impact on women and girls in the poorest countries and generate forced migrations that also entail differentiated risks. This series of seminars will explore, from multiple perspectives, the main challenges faced by migrant women affected by the impacts of climate change and identify innovative and sustainable solutions to ensure adequate protection of vulnerability.
The seminars will be held in October, starting 14, and November.
SEE THE PROGRAMME
Speakers will come from the academic, institutional and associative worlds - Open Arms and WelcomeRefugees are also participating - and from civil society in general, in order to bring together different perspectives on this issue related to the displacement of people generated by climate impacts.
The seminars are open to the public, who can follow them remotely or in person.
